KTIV, 9 June 2004 - The Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) will be sending a Needs Assessment Mission (NAM) to Kyiv between June 9 and 12 relative to the presidential elections, which are scheduled to take place in Ukraine on October 31, 2004. This Mission, comprised of four election experts, is a first step according to ODIHR standard election observation methodology, which serves as preparation for a long-term observation mission.
