KYIV, 15 June 2004 - The Committee of Voters of Ukraine held a conference on June 15, 2004 at 12 pm in Poltava at the conference hall of the Poltava Oblast Department of the State Treasury. The theme of the conference was "International Standards of Democratic Elections and the Importance of Meeting them during Election Campaigns in Ukraine".

The discussion focused on facts related to election campaigns in Ukraine. Some of the issues on the agenda included: administration of the election process, legislative provisions, international standards, and objective media coverage.

Candidates from constituency #151(Poltava Oblast), members of election commissions, representatives of Poltava state agencies and the local self-government, diplomatic missions, international organizations, NGOs, as well as nationwide and regional media were present at the event.
